Please read the following information carefully, your student loans will not be disbursed if you skip a step in the application process.
This student loan information page is intended for NSU students (and parents) who have:
If you have not completed a FAFSA yet, or if you have not received an official award letter from NSU Financial Aid Services, you should not be using this page.
Loan borrowers must have completed all THREE requirements below before their loans will be disbursed.
Requirement #1 – If you have a valid NSU email address you would have received notice of your award letter via email. View your Award Letter Online. If you wish to cancel or reduce your students loans please do so by completing the Loan Adjustment Request form (pdf) and submit it to our office in a timely manner. (Note: Please retain the Username and Password you create for future use).
Requirement #2 – First-time student loan borrowers are required by federal law to participate in student loan counseling prior to receiving their first Federal Stafford Loan. This counseling is conducted online and normally takes less than 15 minutes to complete. Please complete your required online student loan counseling now: Begin Entrance Counseling.
Requirement #3 – If you have never borrowed through the Stafford Loan Program before or have recently changed your lender, you are required to complete a Federal Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note and can do so through this online process. To apply for your Federal Stafford Loan (Subsidized or Unsubsidized) you will need to Begin Master Promissory Note.
(Note: The Username and Password you created to Submit Your Awards will be the same Username/Password you use to sign on and complete your Master Promissory Note)
